Identifying Challenges & Barriers in the Implementation of the SGMA

Russ McGlothlin is participating in Stanford Law School’s Uncommon Dialogue being held Tuesday, January 27, 2015 on Stanford’s campus.

Stanford University’s Water in the West and The Nature Conservancy of California are convening this Uncommon Dialogue to bring together groundwater managers, county and state representatives, and water policy experts along with non-­governmental organizations representing environmental, disadvantaged communities and other interests to discuss challenges in implementing the bill, and how best to meet those challenges. This workshop will also identify opportunities for collaboration in addressing many of the barriers in the formation of GSAs and implementation of GSPs, as well as potential solutions and areas for additional research.
