The members of the California State Water Resources Control Board (“State Water Board”) will not be the only ones keeping a close eye on conservation figures over the next several months. Earlier this year, the State Water Board abandoned its controversial drought regulations that imposed one-size-fits-all percentage reductions on water providers in favor of new regulations that take into account the significant investments some providers have made in reliable and sustainable supplies. The State Water Board will be revisiting its drought regulations in 2017, and the water conservation figures are sure to feature prominently in that discussion.
